Hazardous Materials

These items must be recycled or handled by a licensed facility and will not be collected by Dirty Hands Disposal. Please contact your municipal depot for guidance.

Car & Garage

Antifreeze, brake fluid, car batteries, fuel, motor oil (and filters), windshield washer fluid, body fillers, wax with solvent.

Personal Care

Medications, vitamins, nail polish & remover, alcohol‑based lotions. Sharps must be in puncture‑resistant containers labeled “needles”.

Pesticides & Garden

Fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, poisons, weed killers (herbicides).

Paints & Solvents

Latex/acrylic/oil paints, primers, stains, thinners, turpentine, paint strippers, rust removers, solvents, lighter fluid.

Household Cleaners

Abrasive powders, ammonia cleaners, bleach, disinfectants, drain & oven cleaners, polish, rug/upholstery cleaners, silver polish.

Lights

Bulbs including CFLs, tubes, halogen, incandescent, LED, UHP projector lamps, UV/germicidal, Wi‑Fi smart bulbs, indicator & headlights.

Note: Empty metal paint cans (lids separated) can go in Blue Bin recycling.
